Offerings and Café's Core Principles

Butterfly Ayurveda, a woman-led brand specialising in manufacturing and retail of Ayurvedic teas, cookies, and medicines, recently launched Café Swasthya at sector 49, Eros City Square, Gurugram, on January 16, 2025.

Café Swasthya offers an Ayurveda-inspired menu within a contemporary and cozy setting. With a focus on holistic well-being, the café offers herbal teas, unique coffees, fresh juices, herb-infused lattes, and a range of wholesome meals and Ayurveda-inspired bakery items. Each item on the menu is made using natural ingredients aimed at balancing the body's tridosha.

The concept of Café Swasthya emerged from the need to promote 'healthy eating' and 'healthy living,' bridging the gap between generations and encouraging a deeper understanding and practice of Ayurveda in everyday life. The name of the café comes from the traditional wisdom of Ayurveda, where health is defined as 'Swasthya,' meaning to be rooted in oneself.

The café's commitment to authenticity and wellness is reflected in its core principles:

  • Use of 100% Natural Ingredients: Freshly sourced raw materials, freshly milled flours, fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices sourced from authentic vendors. Use of natural sugars like Khand, Jaggery, Brown Sugar, Bhura, Shakkar and use of natural fats only, such as ghee, coconut oil, sesame oil or mustard oil etc.
  • No Artificial Additives: Free of artificial flavouring, preservatives, or scents or colours.
  • Research-Backed Recipes: Designed to balance the body's tridosha and promote overall health, while also ensuring compatibility of ingredients.
  • Serving Taste with Health: A balance of deliciousness and well-being in every bite.
  • Educational Experience: Encourages customers to learn about their bodies and make informed choices with the help of taking the ‘Prakriti’ Quiz via scanning QR code.
  • Sustainability & Indian Heritage : The Café interiors and ambiance carry the essence of Indian heritage and is designed using sustainable materials such as handcrafted bamboo ceiling, Rajasthani upholstery, jute-matted seats, teak wood furniture, and the classic mud wall display that showcases Butterfly Ayurveda’s products.
